Squarespace Inc. will use this information to evaluate the use of the website and to compile statistical reports about the website activity for the website operator.
These are above all:

As a rule, these data can not be assigned to specific persons.

More detailed information about this can be found in the Squarespace Privacy Policy, sections 6 to 8 in particular. 4. ANALYSIS TOOLS

This website uses Squarespace Metrics, a web analytics service provided by Squarespace, Inc. Squarespace Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to and stored by a server of Squarespace in the USA. Squarespace will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for the website operator and providing other services related to website activity and internet usage. 5. NEWSLETTER

Newsletter data
If you subscribe to the newsletter, we will need a valid e-mail address from you, as well as information that will allow us to verify that you own the e-mail address provided or that the owner agrees to receive the newsletter. This is done in a so-called "double-opt-in" method. (After registration you will receive an e-mail asking you to confirm your registration.) By subscribing to the newsletter, your IP address and the date of the registration and confirmation time will be saved. This storage serves solely as proof in the event that a third party misuses an e-mail address and logs on without the knowledge of the person entitled to receive the newsletter. Further data is not collected. Your e-mail address will only be used to send the newsletter and will not be given to third parties. It will be deleted from our files, should you decide to unsubscribe from the newsletter service.

Newsletter service
The newsletter is distributed via MailChimp, a newsletters shipping platform owned by Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE # 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. The e-mail addresses of the newsletter recipients, as well as other information described below, are stored on the servers of MailChimp in the USA. MailChimp uses this information to send and evaluate the newsletters on our behalf. Furthermore, MailChimp may use this information for the purpose of optimizing or improving its own services. For example, for the technical optimization of shipping and the presentation of newsletters or for economic purposes, to determine from which countries the recipients come. MailChimp does not use the data of newsletter recipients to address them directly or to pass them on to third parties. MailChimp is certified under the US-EU „Privacy Shield“  and is committed to complying with EU data protection requirements. The privacy policy of MailChimp can be viewed here.

Statistical survey and analyzes
The newsletters contain a so-called "web-beacon", a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from the MailChimp server when opening the newsletter and stores technical information (information about the browser, IP address, time of retrieval, clicks on links). This information may be used by us to identify general usage patterns and to adapt the contents of the newsletter or the time of dispatch, if necessary.

MailChimp Website
There are cases in which the newsletter recipients are directed to the MailChimp web pages (for example, a link to browser display, or for recipients to change their address details.) Also, the privacy policy of MailChimp is only available on their page.
In this context, please note that on the MailChimp website cookies and website analytics tools are used. We have no influence on this data collection. For more information, see the privacy policy of MailChimp.

Termination / Revocation
You may terminate the receipt of the newsletter at any time. At the same time, your consent to receiving it via MailChimp and the statistical analyzes expire. A separate revocation of the shipment via MailChimp and the statistical evaluation is not possible. A link to cancel the newsletter can be found at the end of each newsletter. Alternatively, if you wish to be removed from the newsletter, you can also send us an e-mail.

Legal basis
The processing of the data entered into the newsletter registration form takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent (Article 6 (1) a DSGVO). The given consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and their use for sending the newsletter can be revoked at any time (see previous paragraph). The legality of the already completed data processing operations remains unaffected by the revocation.
